The main objective of the project was obtaining hydrogen from aluminum industrial waste using a process based on the reaction between aluminum and water.

This project is a technological challenge for all the Consortium, but mostly it is a future opportunity around which many companies, national and international structure their R & D programs.


The project has been funded by the LIFE program, the only financial instrument of the European Union dedicated to the promotion of innovative technologies in environmental matters.


A delegation of the European Commission conducted last week H2Alrecycling monitoring project. After a meeting, representatives of the project and the Commission moved to Pedralba, where they visited the pilot plant project.
