Indetec develops a plant to obtain hydrogen trough aluminum.

Indetec, Vento Group, is undertaking the construction of a pilot plant for European Life H2Alrecycling project.

This project, which involves the production of hydrogen from waste aluminum and ammonia to produce electricity in a fuel cell, needs a pilot plant to study and optimize the process variables.

Analysis of laboratory tests, conducted by Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE), has allowed Indetec to design a customize prototype pilot plant where larger scale tests will  be performed.

The project, coordinated by JAP Energéticas y Medioambientales, will be located in the town of Pedralba in its pilot phase.

The company has planned to complete the pilot plant in June to experiment with the goal of finding the best parameters and conditions to obtain the desired result. The target of the company is that the facility begins operation in mid-2015, according to Indetec sources.
